We're newcomers to LA, visiting family for a long weekend. Discovering this highly-rated movie theater near our cousins' place was a delightful surprise. Our nieces thoroughly enjoyed the Disney’s “Wish” film. What amazed me was the exceptional quality of this theater compared to the usual chains. The staff's friendliness and warmth were notable. Comfortable seats, reasonably priced concessions, outstanding projector quality, and an impressive sound system made this experience one of our best memories at the movies
It’s pretty cool EXCEPT the bright lights that stay on during all previews!! Putting a glare and you can’t even see. Also it’s FREEZING inside. Currently it’s 53° outside and they have the a/c blasting. Other than that it’s ok.
This is a nice little theater, overall. the interior is modern and sleek, they have an elevator inside which makes it wheelchair accessible, and they also have great popcorn with a wide selection of snacks. There are (gasp) coca cola drinks here, unlike Regal😒, which is just great. My only complaints are that the theaters are rather small, and with the way the seating is combined with my short height, the chair ahead of me blocked the bottom of the screen for me. the theaters also dont seem to be very well insulated (i could hear a car with a loud engine going by somewhere outside once), and the screens themselves don't seem to be great quality. I'm also disappointed in the selection of movies, as I thought that getting a Laemmle locally meant that there would be screenings of art films/foreign films, but it seems they mainly play mainstream stuff that's already being shown at Regal. Super disappointing. Overall, it's not a bad theater by any means, and I do recommend checking it out if you prefer a more intimate movie going experience. The staff are also very friendly and nice here, as a bonus!
I am delighted to have found this lovely movie theatre. It is clean, offers diverse cinematic experiences, assigned seating & reasonably priced tickets. Each theatre room is cozy and has comfortable seats. Free parking can be found in a garage around the corner.
conveniently located in downtown Newhall, small, independent, prices are extremely reasonable compared to other theaters, and the range of movies offered has so many options.
I'm happy to have this less than a mile from home
This is a really nice movie theatre. It’s very clean with assigned seating, and the ticket cost is cheaper than Regal and AMC. They serve food and alcohol. Each theatre room is fairly decently sized, not too large, and has comfortable leather-like seats. I would definitely make this my go-to theatre.
Parking is easy, free, and can be located around back in a garage.
The lobby and upstairs isn’t clean?? There are open boxes around like they’re moving??? There is trash overflowing in the halls & the bathrooms are a mess??? We went to the 8:20 showing of Barbie last night & I know this is an independent chain, but the front hall had papers, trash, stuffed animals & boxes everywhere. The theater itself is clean (hence the 3 stars) but I was surprised to pay $14 for a theater experience that looks like 12-year olds TP’d if. There’s only about 30 seats in each room, and parking in the structure is free and easy
My wife found this theater on Google so decided to go watch a movie while our son was spending his birthday with friends at six flags. And im glad she found this gem. The theater is small and cozy. Popcorn was great and service was also great. If you are looking for a small intimate movie theater this the place. The theater we sat in only sat at most 50 people so everyone had a front row view
